Canada is a huge country, stretching 7730 kilometres from east to west. So, as you might expect, it contains a wide variety of topography. There are lakes, rivers, forests, mountains and plains. Canada is especially rich in lakes and forests. It has more fresh water than any other country in the world and 25 per cent of the country is covered in forest.

Nova Scotia, on the eastern coast, is one of the 10 provinces and three territories that make up Canada. It's the second smallest of the provinces. Halifax is a significant port city and the capital of Nova Scotia.
